Details

It is impossible to measure the speed of Mozilla under Xitami Web-server, because the status bar doesn't tell, when the document has been 100% downloaded. Even if Mozilla has downloaded the WHOLE document, the status bar tells: "Transferring data from localhost". MS IE and Opera tells better what's going on. I would have tested how fast Mozilla 1.1a renders pages 1.a-12 and I would have compared the result with MS IE and Opera. But I can't now do that. I must ask, I someone could evaluate better status bar information. The temporary status bar of Opera give most information about the download process (Indeed the temporary status leaves randomly visible even if the whole document has been downloaded).
bug 133250, fixed the problem of "Transferring data from..." remaining on the status bar. (Only "Document: Done (time in secs)" should appear at the end of page load). As the status bar is shared, tabs complicate this issue however and bug 104532 deals with these problems. bug 88982 is a request for more information to appear on the status bar like Opera(transfer speed etc.).
bug 133250, fixed the problem of "Transferring data from..." remaining on the >status bar. (Only "Document: Done (time in secs)" should appear at the end of >page load). With Xitami the problem is that Mozilla 1.1a (date: 20020611) doesn't give the message "Document: Done (time in secs)" like MS IE 6.0 does. I don't get the minimal info. It just seems that Mozilla might render with Xitami pages faster than Opera, but I can't verify it. The problem might be with Xitami and the status bar might work in the Internet better. I must however test my pages with Xitami. >bug 88982 is a request for more information to appear on the status bar like Opera(transfer speed etc.). Thank's for this information.
