thanks for pointing that bugzilla issue, it got linked to the wrong bugzilla issue and so I missed it when I moved the enhancement and followups still open.

(I did link Bug 1458947 as a see also, because they have similar goals and there is a chance we may close Bug 1516478 as a duplicate of Bug 1458947 and let this last one to cover the use case for both the contentScripts and userScripts APIs)
