Details
From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/4.77 [en] (Windows NT 5.0; U) BuildID: 2002072104 I have an IBM keyboard with a trackpoint. The middle button is configured to do scrolling (i.e., holding the middle button and pushing the trackpoint causes scrolling in the window/pane on which the cursor stands). The scrolling function works in virtually all programs, but it doesn't not work at all in Mozilla (or even Netscape 6, for that matter). Holding the middle button and pushing the tracking causes nothing to happen: the page doesn't scroll. (Interestingly, it works just fine in Netscape 4.x.) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to any page that's larger than the Mozilla window (resize the Mozilla window, if necessary). 2. Hold the middle button and push the trackpoint in any direction. Actual Results: The page won't scroll. Expected Results: The page should have scrolled.
There maybe be some help in bug#20618 -- I think there are some workarounds in there. This may be a dupe.

It will possible work if you update your mouse-drivers: see http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=20618#c112 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 20618 ***
