Prerequisites:

  1. Clear the Fenix app's Data.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Go to https://reddit.com
  2. Dismiss the overlay
  3. Tap on a Share button.

Expected Behavior:
The link is displayed under the "Share this Link" string.

Actual Behavior:
The link is not displayed.

Notes:

  1. Screenshot attached.
  2. Disabling and enabling the ETP, fixes the issue.

This appears to be mobile-only and indeed only caused by Strict mode. I can't reproduce on desktop.

The "share" links are working, as does the "copy link" feature therein, but the popup for the "embed" option never completes loading. That's because the popup is for embed.redditmedia.com, but tries to load from https://www.reddit.com/comments/, and is blocked. Given that the user has to opt into clicking on "embed" to get that far, we can probably just un-block reddit.com for embed.redditmedia.com frames.

Summary: reddit with a clean app data on firefox Preview Nightly doesn't have a functional share link feature → Reddit's Share->Embed popup never finishes loading with strict tracking protection on.
