Javaun, do you know if someone has triaged this list? It's important to act on the website breakages that we know about, I think, and we don't have much time left...

Hi Ehsan, we haven't reviewed it yet but will. Some may no longer be at issue because entity whitelisting will eliminate some breakages where the domains are different (third-party by domain) but we roll them up as first-party because the same company owns both domains.
Our vendor handles all list updates, we won't be adding or removing anything, and there's going to be a strong policy in place. They won't make individual list edits based on breakage. As the list is increasingly managed according to policy, breakage is a feature, not a bug. There are some manual exceptions where users deem breakage unacceptable and that's quantified in user complaints and user testing.

Javaun, can we get an update on what the plan is here? TP bustage on tops sites like drudgereport.com seems very, very bad (I guess they hot-link all their images from pbs.twimg.com?): https://github.com/webcompat/web-bugs/issues/2703

This one is interesting for the tracking protection team.

with a strict list the CSS are not displayed, but there is no easy way for the user to understand what is happening.

This should be communicated more obviously somewhere. Right now if I want to report a breakage due to tracking protection the only official pointers I could find are to trackingprotection.info so feedback is sent to a void.

Where did you see that pointer/link to trackingprotection.info?

On top of this bug for example. None of the official docs of tracking protection I have seen mention that Disconnect report page but I remember over the time seeing multiple references to trackingprotection.info.
I would have thought trackingprotection.info was still a proper channel to submit feedback.
I see its an unofficial domain owned by Monica Chew but it should have been taken down when it wasnt relevant anymore.
The "Learn more" link in the settings of tracking protection lead to https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/tracking-protection-firefox which is an "article no longer maintained", gives the feeling that this is an abandoned feature. It would be good to mention the official report form there for example.

Thanks, I've asked for this to be updated (bug 1290742).

I'm in the middle of transferring ownership of the domain to Mozilla (bug 1290923).

I don't think blocking YouTube and other content providers with the strict list should be considered a bug. This is precisely why the strict list is not the default, even though the sites are trackers. Some of the referenced issues should be marked as invalid.

Okay, I was moving some bugs over from Firefox::Protections UI to Core::Privacy:Anti-tracking, and was surprised that this bulky metabug also needed to be moved.
Is the categorization to put this in the UI component intentional? Please feel free to move it back if so, but I don't think this should be triaged along with other Protections Panel/Report UI bugs.
Component: Protections UI → Privacy: Anti-Tracking
