Is there a ticket for CPU usage for sw-wr? Since my VM became unusable a week ago when I updated Firefox Nightly, I had to force disable webrender for the CPU usage to become sane again.

You would be best to file a new bug for your specific use-case blocked against this bug. Please mention the platform you're on, and if possible which page you're looking at while this is occurring, and any other data you think would help us reproduce the issue ourselves. If possible, please include a profile from inside the browser while you're looking at the offending webpage (see https://profiler.firefox.com/) which would really help us zero in on the issue.
