I have the exact same problem, which just started either today (4/10/20) or in the past few days. I'm running Thunderbird 68.7.0 on Windows 7. Whassup?

Anything special about the mail list?
No. I have 3 different groups & have the same problem with them all. This also started with me only a few days ago & I think it is tied in to the latest Thunderbird update

Can you provide the name? What does it look like when you enter it in the compose window?

I have a bunch of different groups that I have been using for a long time without problems. Yesterday I tried using my "All Aircrew" list to send an aviation item of interest and got the error message shown above. The group name is "01 ALL AIRCREW," and that's what it looks like in the address window. But I tried others of my group lists and got the same results. I too think it's a problem with the latest Thunderbird updates.

bug 1628800 states "After some thorough research, it turns out that the workaround is to delete the spaces in the name of the list (I forgot to transcribe the space in the error message)"
