User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:79.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/79.0

Steps to reproduce:

[ I've filed the same issue here: https://support.google.com/meet/thread/61252558 ]

Using a connected Bluetooth headphones, use Google Meet.

I cannot get the audio to come through the Bluetooth headphones.

I am wondering is this a Firefox bug, or a Google Meet bug?

Actual results:

When joining a Google Meet in Firefox:

  • I can select the "Microphone" correctly in Settings -> Audio -> Microphone.

  • Only "System default speaker device" is available in Settings -> Audio -> Speakers. I cannot select my headphones.

Here is a screenshot of the Settings -> Audio -> Speakers option under Firefox. Note how there are no other options available.

[see actual.png]

Expected results:

Here is the same Settings -> Audio -> Speakers option when joining a Google Meet using Chrome.

[See expected.png]

It looks like a WebRTC issue for detecting BT headphones. Let me know if I am wrong.
