Details

When a message arrives and is moved to a different account/directory/subdirectory the original inbox is still marked as containing new mail (green downward pointing arrow). The system tray icon displays the "new mail" icon until you click on the inbox of the original inbox, even if you have already viewed the email in the directory to which it was redirected.
-> FrontEnd and ALWAYS add the build ID in a bug report and in this case also if you use imap or pop3 Accounts.

In current builds at least, the 'new' arrow is not shown on the Inbox, but it *is* shown on the receiving account, and not cleared until some folder (not necessarily the Inbox) is clicked within that account. There is a separate, somewhat superfluous report about the tray icon not clearing: bug 222068. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 116181 ***
