User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:85.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/85.0

Steps to reproduce:

Upgraded to Firefox 86.0

Actual results:

Immediately after upgrading to Firefox 86.0 attempting to print a PDF to an HP m426fdn printer causes margins to be cut off. Printing to PDF and print preview looks fine.

Replicated on a different computer printing to a different HP m426fdn printer.

Expected results:

PDF should have been printed without cutting off margins.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Printing: Output' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please revert this change in case you think the bot is wrong.

Thanks for the bug report. Does the issue happens on all type of PDFs? Does the issue happen with a new profile of Firefox?

OS: Unspecified → Windows

The issue happens with all PDF's (although in some PDF's it might be noticeable since there are no margins near edges.) First thing done was to try printing from a new profile, this did not solve the issue. Printing from Edge (unfortunately) is the fix for the time being.

Please try to replicate the issue with a PDF that has slim to no margins. The questions asked were very basic, so I look forward to this issue being replicated by others to unilaterally confirm that it is Firefox bug. Unfortunately, the issue can only be seen when actually printing. Printing to PDF works fine.

It looks like bug 1692926 is the same issue.

I tried a couple of PDFs but can't reproduce the issue on my Linux box.

schnappi, can you please attach one of the PDF to reproduce the issue?

Flags: needinfo?(twocool)

I cannot because they are all legal documents.

What I can do though is test a "broken" PDF on Linux Firefox 86.0. Standby for the results. It may be a few weeks, but I will get to it.

I'm marking this as a duplicate of bug 1693989 because it seems to be the same problem. If that bug is resolved and this issue persists we can reopen this bug.

I realize that my entire office/staff having the same doesn’t count as “confirmed.” Yet, I will reiterate that I have everyone using Edge until this issue is solved.
