This seems to be working for me. But I do see that legacy Google Analytics is being blocked, so it's possible that it's breaking with a script error if the site is tracking those clicks for random users/page visits.
Oana, can you still reproduce this issue, and if so, see if any errors/messages appear in the web console when you try to click on the button?

Tom, unfortunately there is no message/error in the Console when clicking the "OK" button.

I'm still unable to reproduce this; I can click on the cookie-related links to hide them, even while in strict mode, with no messages in the console to let me know what else might be going wrong. It's even working for me when uBlock Origin is installed. I also looked at the code they are trying to run when you click on the buttons, and it doesn't make sense that ETP would be causing this, as it should not be blocking any of the code from running, as far as I can tell.
So if it's still happening (even with shims), then I have to presume it's not really an ETP issue, but some sort of intermittent issue on the site which is more easy to trigger in ETP strict mode (but not so easy that I can trigger it). Or maybe they're serving a region-specific page? Either way, I've asked Dennis if he can reproduce this, to get a third opinion.
