User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.2b) Gecko/20020930 WebWasher 2.2.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.2b) Gecko/20020930 WebWasher 2.2.1 During an ongoing download the menubar items are disabled. this makes sense as some commands are only useful when the download has finished. the commands should be enabled when this is the case. what happens now: the item "remove from list" stays disabled. after minimizing the DL mgr and focus it again, the menubar item is enabled as it should. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.choose any URL to download a file 2.watch the downloadmanager menubar "remove from file" 3.select the downloaded file after it is finishde 4.try to "remove from list" Actual Results: 5.minimize the DL Mgr 6.maximize it 7.now it works! Expected Results: before step 5. the menu bar item shold have been enabled

For me with Build 2002110408, Mac OS 9.1, classic theme i have this problem: After trash of the download.rdf file, that was corrupted before fix of bug 163884 - I have downloaded 4 files - Opened the download manager, Got JS Errors (see Bug 176999) - Deleted the four lines (Clicking on "remove from list" - Closed the dowload manager - Downloaded 4 other files - Opened the download manager - Selected the 4 lines "remove from list" remains disabled. The only way to reenable it is to click on cancel Closing, opening the download manager has no effect for me.
confirming in 2002122908/trunk/win2k. probably related to bug 170821

Same for Win98SE. Can also be gotten around by activating another window, then reactivating the Download Manager window. This bug has been present from scratch until at least 2003022108

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; de-AT; rv:1.4a) Gecko/20030317 Problem exists for all 3 menuitems: "remove from list", "launch file" and "show in explorer"
*** Bug 170821 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
Summary: menu bar "remove from list" still disabled after finishing download → menu items "remove from list" "launch file" and "show in explorer" disabled in download manager after completing download

I would agree with comment 3 "This bug has been present from scratch"; And think that I especially experienced bug 170821 comment 4 :-(
Yes, I ideally, "remove from list", "launch file" and "show in finder/explorer" should become active when the dl transfer is completed for the selected item.
I think the "Show in Explorer" button should *always* be enabled. Why? Perhaps you're saving a file in the same folder you've saved other files in, and you want to look at those other files without having to find them in the history of Download Manager.
another workaround: click any other, already finished download in the list, then your download that just finished - the buttons will enable.
Re comment 13: Bug 170821 Description reported this workaround; and bug 170821 comment 4 noted that this is useless in case there is no other entry.

May be similar to bug 203433.

[Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win95; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030507] Bug still there. (with v1.3 profile, at least) (Reminder: workaroud from comment 3 works fine.)
