Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.2b) Gecko/2002100214 (also happened with RPMs of Friday 13 September) Sometimes (no clue what makes it happen, I cannot make it happen intentionally) when I try to send a mail or posting pressing the send button or save it using the button, Mozilla freezes completely and must be killed (killall mozilla-bin). Once it happened it stays this way. There is only one way to make it work again: Deleting XUL.mfasl. Then everything works again. pi

I should say that the CPU usage goes to over 90% for minutes without a change. pi

I'm having this problem in trunk build 2002102704, on Linux Suse 8.0. For the moment I've rolled back to the last build I'm happy with: 2002100108. I reported this in bug 176827, wich seems to be a duplicate. I also got this hang to generate a talkback report! (see bug 176827). Will try pi's work-around when I can.

I got this problem for the first time today, but i can't get rid of it now. I can't send mail, nor save it. And i can't reach my address book. Not important which way (button or menu) Mozilla always freeze. I have renamed the file xul.mfl (thanks, pi). Now everything works fine again. The file size was about 3.4MB. Now there is a new file xul.mfl created which is currently 2.2MB. Maybe a problem with the size of this file? What does it contain? mp

I managed to correct this problem by returning to the last working (2002100108) version I installed, then back to the buggy version (2002102704).

Also experiencing this bug. Pi's fix works for me as well. Mozilla is 1.2b, on Red Hat 7.3
