User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:91.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/91.0

Steps to reproduce:

Check Bug 1725612 for steps how to reach username / password prompt.

Actual results:

It prompted me with blank username/password.

Expected results:

Prompt should have been filled with my username / password since I already used it for Lightning CARDDAV. It's same domain, only folder is different (domain.com/carddav/ vs domain.com/caldav/).

As explained in Bug 1725612 I tried to enter username / password there on few different occasions. Every time "use password manager to remember login details" was checked, but it failed to remember my password between tries.

Component: Untriaged → Address Book
Blocks: tb91found

The prompt shows every time during set-up. This is deliberate as you may wish to connect with multiple users on the same server. Or are you seeing the prompt show up after set-up?

Afterthought: we do ask for a user name in the set-up dialog, that was added long after the rest of the process was created. If we have the user name in the password manager we could skip the prompt.

During setup (Address book - File - New - Carddav address book). As you said, since you are already asking for username, if domain name and user name matches, you should go without prompt.
