Workaround: set View/Feed Message Body As to Summary.

In Thunderbird 102.10.0 this workaround does not work.

Does it happen in beta?

I am unable to see the hovertext with 115.0b1 and the feed http://www.smbc-comics.com/rss.php . This applies whether or not "Show the article summary instead" is clicked or not.

For me, using 115.0b1 in Windows and Debian, any element that has a title attribute will display a pop-up of that text when hovering over it.

Both when showing the feed message body as summary (with original HTML selected) and when showing the feed message body as a web page.

I can not see any pop-ups for alt attribute text, but that seems consistent with Firefox.

I can consistently get the text to appear for messages in https://xkcd.com/atom.xml

For http://www.smbc-comics.com/rss.php, I can get the text to appear when viewing the message body as a web page, but not when viewing the message body as a summary.
Looking at the XML for that feed, it seems they omit the title attribute in the summary in favour of putting the text in a paragraph after the image. So I believe that is an authored decision, rather than a fault in Thunderbird.

Yeah this is now working.
