i believe there is something wrong with the javascript detection in 1.3a at
least in regards to some web pages.
this webpage: http://www.gemal.dk/browserspy/js.html gives this feedback when
detecting javascript:
Generic JavaScript support Yes
JavaScript build Not supported or unable to detect the info...
JavaScript version 1.1 Supported
JavaScript version 1.2 Supported
JavaScript version 1.3 Supported
JavaScript version 1.4 Supported
JavaScript version 1.5 Supported
JavaScript version 1.6 Not supported
JavaScript version 2.0 Not supported
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Just go to the page, it doesn't load. :-)
2.
3.
Expected Results:
loading the page would definitely be preferred.

at http://www.gemal.dk/browserspy/js.html ?
i'm stumped now. i have not disabled anything, it's a fresh install. i have
JRE 1.4.1 installed. nothing else has been added except the GrayModern theme.

WORKSFORME using Mozilla 1.3b (trunk 2002121908) on WinNT.
Reassigning to Browser-General; this is not an issue for
the JS Engine itself, but rather the browser embedding -
