Anytime I click on a "email us" link, and the mail compose window opens, it does not have the "insert" menu. This makes it rather hard to insert a link, table, image, etc. If message composer is opened from the mail/news window, the insert menu is there and works mostly fine; it's also there if I CTRL-M fromthe browser. It just is absent when clicking on a mailto link. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Go to a web page that has a mailto: link in it. 2.Click on the link. 3. Actual Results: Message composer opens with no "insert" menu. Expected Results: Displayed the same menus as when message composer is opened through mail window. No themes. Athlon 350mhz laptop.

The format menu is also missing, and the options entry on the format menu (see bug 191098). I would suggest that all three problems (any more?) should be fixed under this bug.

This also happens when clicking on the mailto: link displayed in the mail client; when clicking on a link in the address book; or when clicking on a link in the from: or to: area of a displayed message.

Actually this is a dup of a different bug.

But since I can't find that bug, I'll resolve this one as INVALID instead. IIRC mailto: links always open plain text compose for security reasons.
