Build 2003011505 win2k

The latest download manager now downloads links to /temp without asking you.
Clicking the download link on the adsubtract page tries to get stored as a jpeg!

This is a big regression.
No one has answered this bug.
It happens all the time. for example at
http://forms.real.com/real/realone/intl/intl_realone.html?dc=2221131&type=en&lang=en
if you just click the link
1) It starts downloading in the download manager without asking you where to save it
2) It thinks it is of type jpeg and tries to display it in photo editor which fails.

Basically download is now broken!

this bug may be ralated to the fixes for #82345

This is a serious problem, and I have received NO response on it.
Well, filing bugs on the wrong component is a good way to get no response. ;)

Do you have a setting in your helper app prefs mapping application/octet-stream
to ".jpg" and saying to open them without asking?

If so delete it. The fact that it appeared was bug 189598.
I did. But I never set that. And that fixed it.
