I agree. Let's hope the developers do as well. I also think that when a Help erApplications pane is designed it should incorporate the ability to specify a mail client (bug 11459 and/or bug 33282), a source viewer (bug 172817) and a downloader (bug 186940), etc. For now, one can still access the Helper Applications pane through chrome://communicator/content/pref/pref.xul (just paste into the location bar).
