Composer will add an empty line between <meta> statments when editing in the
source view and then saving the html file. Will add an emtpy line each time the
file is saved.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select Source view.
2. Make additions or correctings to web page.
3. Save file.
4. Go back to source view and empty lines have been added between <meta> statements.
5. Repeating above, will add one additional line between the <meta> statements
each time the file is adjusted and save via the Source view.
Actual Results:
If I made changes to the web page in the Normal view, everything was fine tim I
made changed in the Source view. Once a change is made in the Source mode and
the file is saved, the empty lines appear. This occurs most of the time when
"Retain Original Formatting" is selected is selected in the composer preferences.
If you select "Reformat" it is saving properly. But once you return to "Retain
Original Formatting", the empty lines return.
Expected Results:
The composer should have save the web page without adding empty lines between
the <meta> statements.

This is NOT a dupe of Bug 145196, as that bug refers to "Reformat HTML Source"
mode. REOPENING
This bug refers to "Retain original source formatting" mode, and is not yet
fixed.
Note also that this bug happens each time you edit in HTML Source view and
return to Normal view. It's not in the file save process
It should probably be a dupe of Bug 97278 instead.
