Can't find any links or info to explain this. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Go to download page 2.Click appropriate button (save, download, whatever is offered) 3.Save as window shows default file name with .BMP extension, as noted above) Actual Results: "You have chosen to download a file of type: ".BMP Image" [application/octet-stream] ex.: mozilla-win32-1.2.1-installer.exe.bmp Expected Results: Saved it as: mozilla-win32-1.2.1-installer.exe
Under EDIT - PREFERENCES - NAVIGATOR - HELPER APPLICATIONS do you have anything for application/octet-stream?
This will not be getting fixed on the 1.0.x branch; it is fixed on the trunk for 1.3. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 189598 ***
