User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20021130 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20021130 Whenever I set my system's language to UTF-8 (i.e. RC_LANG = en_US.UTF-8) the whole interface of mozilla browser (e.g. menu, taskbar, pop-ups) uses very large fonts (at least size 24). Web pages, however, are being displayed ok but I have to scroll horizontally a lot. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. In /etc/sysconfig/language change the variable RC_LANG to en_US.UTF-8 in order to use unicode system wide. 2. Reboot and that's all. 3. Actual Results: Everything (menu, toolbar, etc) but the web pages are in huge font size. I'm using SuSE linux 8.1 Professional. Kernel 2.4.19, KDE version 3.1, Mozilla version 1.2.1.

I wonder what the browser thinks your dpi is?
Blocks: xft_tracking
What does xdpyinfo say about your dpi? It should have an entry something like: dimensions: 1600x1200 pixels (402x302 millimeters) resolution: 101x101 dots per inch
Bug day Reporter, if you can supply the requested additional data and reproduce in a current build, then reopen. Without knowing the DPI Mozilla thinks you are using nothing can be done with this. Marking invalid.
