Eerything seemed to be ok. I had to reinstall modem, lost Desktop, now stored as D.bak. Desktop folders are still there when I go to Documents and Settings. However, when I open Mozilla (in All Users), I get a new browser, without all my previous settings. I can't even find my old Bookmarks anywhere, I have searched and searched.
