The following bugs all seem to be related and/or duplicates: Bug 78155, Bug 149479, Bug 232690
The menu problem seems to be fixed in Mozilla Suite 1.7.5 - see my comments in Bug 149479 Microsoft Word 2000 suffers the same problem with opening new windows. That is: Open MS Word and place on secondary display monitor. Choose Edit > Find The "Find and Replace" Window opens on the primary monitor. This suggests to me an OS problem.
This bug literally claims the menubar jumps from its host window on the secondary screen to some place on the primary screen. This assertion is repeated three times so it doesn't seem like a simple mistake. Still I've never heard this before and I'm highly doubtful. With a bit of necessary interpretation this bug seems mostly to be bug 245418. However this bug also seems to be saying that a new window such as the one opened by Help Menu -> Help Contents will also be positioned on the incorrect monitor. I haven't heard that complaint in a long time and in any case that would be a second bug, necessitating a second bug report. I'm closing this bug as a duplicate of what would be its primary observation if I interpret the word "menubar" somewhat freely. Reporter, you may want to open a new report for the window positioning bug. Please do check for extant duplicates first, at least against Mark's list in comment 2. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 245418 ***
