User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; WinNT4.0; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040514 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; WinNT4.0; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040514 (Did a search for 'mail filter flag' and found no adequate report for this issue) Filter moving incoming message on IMAP account to folder of POP3 account doesn't unflag the IMAP account. Messages matching some kind of criteria that arrive to the Inbox of the IMAP account are, by the means of a filter, moved to a folder of the POP3 accont. This correctly unflags the IMAP/Inbox folder and flags the POP3/Folder for a newly arrived message. But, the IMAP account is still flagged and indicates a newly arrived message (which now has been moved to the POP3 account), and the POP3 account is NOT flagged (as it now, IMHO, should be). To manually unflag the IMAP account one can, or has to, select the Inbox folder of the IMAP account. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Set up two mail accounts; one POP3 account and one IMAP account. 2.Define a FILTER which moves arriving messages, matching some criteria, on the IMAP account to a folder (not Inbox) in the POP3 account. 3.Make sure the POP3 account is not flagged for any newly arrived messages. 4.From the IMAP account, send a message matching the filters criteria to that same IMAP account. 5.Observe the two accounts flag settings after your roundtrip message has arrived and been moved by the filter to the POP3 account. Actual Results: The IMAP account IS flagged for newly arrived messages. The IMAP account's Inbox folder is NOT flagged. The POP3 account is NOT flagged. The POP3 account's Folder IS flagged. Expected Results: The IMAP account should NOT be flagged. The IMAP account's Inbox folder should NOT be flagged. The POP3 account should BE flagged. The POP3 account's Folder should BE flagged.
This problem is not specific to IMAP->POP; it occurs on filtering any message from one account to another, or to Local Folders. See bug 116181 comment 28. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 116181 ***
