A debug build made with source from this morning ignores carriage returns in textareas. It doesn't display any carriage returns in the default text, and it refuses to add new carriage returns. An optimized build made from the same source works fine. I first noticed this Monday 20040628, and my previous debug build made I think Friday 20040618 didn't have this problem.

This test case is very simply a textarea element containing carriage returns. I reiterate this works fine in optimized builds (including the nightlies).
