Details
found using 2004081608-trunk (1.8a3 seamonkey) bits on linux fedora core 2. I'm
unable to insert a smiley (emoticon) in a mail message when using html mail compose.
1. start mail, open an html mail compose window.
2. [optional] enter some text.
3. insert a smiley from the Smiley dropmenu on the mail compose format toolbar.
expected: a smiley is inserted at the caret location in the mail composition pane.
actual results: no smiley inserted at all (not even a text one). see this in the
JS console:
Error: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80004005
(NS_ERROR_FAILURE) [nsICommandParams.getCStringValue]" nsresult: "0x80004005
(NS_ERROR_FAILURE)" location: "JS frame ::
chrome://editor/content/ComposerCommands.js :: anonymous :: line 3050" data: no]
Source File: chrome://editor/content/ComposerCommands.js
Line: 3050
also, when I send then receive this html composed mail, the smiley doesn't
appear in that received email either.
