User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040913 Firefox/0.10 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040913 Firefox/0.10 I've found in the page http://tuncas.altervista.org/lotdate/releasenotes01.html a bug on firefox. I've already made a testcase and i'm submitting it. In the explanation i'll refer to the testcase page, for easily understanding. When you open the page, in the address bar the favicon appears at the left of the address, as it should be. When you click on the link, the favicon is replaced by the standard icon. But if you reload the page, the favicon comes up again. I think that the favicon should be always displayed, even after you click on the link. Fabio Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:

The testcase points to the favicon attached. Please wait till the favicon is loaded before testing.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040930 Firefox/0.10 WFM Try a newer build (nighly) Favicon handling has been improved since the release of FF1.0PR
confirming bug with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041001 Firefox/0.10.1 note that the problem is concerning only the favicon in the address bar. the one in the tab is ok.
I can see the problem with XP SP2 but not in Win2k
(In reply to comment #5) > I can see the problem with XP SP2 but not in Win2k > > So it's a os-dependant bug. I am running win xp pro SP1.
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8a5) Gecko/20041003 Firefox/0.9.1+ If by "click on the link" I am in the right when I click on the link labelled "Links" then I saw the favicon disappear and very shortly after re-appear. If Firefox's graphics engine draws text before pictures (which IMHO it should) then transient glitches like this are bound to happen ... Clicking on the link at the bottom of the page ( ...releasenotes01.html#inizio ) produces the behaviour that the OP reports. I can see the problem
Sorry for the page being in italian :) but yes, the kind of link I intended to isolate in the testcase was the one Ben found at the page's bottom (...releasenotes01.html#inizio). I didn't want to mean the "Links" one.
Still seeing problem on Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a5) Gecko/20041004 Firefox/0.9.1+ -> NEW
