The inbox gets about 200 messages a day and a message takes on average 1 minute to answer. A lot of messages are pretty standard and I have created a mail folder with standard replies to the most asked questions. When I start the daily routine of answering the messages I start with the oldest message first. I select it and read it. Than when it is a standard question I go to the standard replies folder and copy the text from the standard message. Than I go back to the inbox. Thunderbird has the wonderfull setting "Remember the last selected message" which gets me back to the message I want to reply to. This is exactly what I want. However when a new email has arrived thunderbird does not select the last selected message but instead shows the newly arrived message and does not select anything. This is very annoying because than I have to scroll back to the messages I wanted to reply to, since at any moment there can be 200+ emails in the inbox this takes time. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.turn on "Remember the last selected message" in the options 2.click on the inbox of an IMAP folder, select a message 3.click on some other folder under the Inbox 4.send yourself a new email to the IMAP email address 5.click on the inbox Actual Results: The last selected message isn't selected anymore. No message is selected, the message list jumps to the newly arrived message. Expected Results: I want the last selected message to still be selected like I tell thunderbird when I choose the option "Remember the last selected message" I don't care that new email arrived and I don't want it jumping the view to that new email, it should just do what it does when no new email arrived.

I see this, in a POP account, TB 1.0, Win2K.

This seems fixed on the latest builds, can anyone confirm?
