I have a Gateway M460 with a Synoptics Touchpad that is divided into a large
left side and a smaller right side. The driver is current (7.12.3.0). When I
scroll with the designated and separate rightside of the Touchpad all I see is a
small vertical bar with arrows:the page does not scroll. Works perfectly fine in
Internet Explorer

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.At this moment I am sliding my finger up and then down on the separate right
side of the Touchpad.
2.
3.

Actual Results:
All I see is a the little box with the arrows that appears where my cursor is.
The same thing happens when I place the cursor on the vertical scrolling section
on the right side of the screen.

Expected Results:
The page should scroll up when I slide my finger up, and down when I slide my
finger down.
Well, your drivers aren't exactly the most recent. Updating to 8.1.2 will
probably fix this. http://www.synaptics.com/support/drive.cfm
