This would improve autocomplete usefullness for average user that hunts URL of home page in most cases, though it would be more effecint to find the title he wants Reproducible: Always
This feature is now implemented as an option in the Autocomplete Manager extension: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2300
note, with the proposed two line autocomplete rich results, title is now first.

Not really. That bug only has to do with the highlighting of what matched, but nothing with the order by which the URL and title appear on the popup, no?
https://litmus.mozilla.org/show_test.cgi?id=5155 in-litmus+ Nikitas, can you elaborate a little more on what you see vs. expected behavior, with today's nightly build from ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/nightly/latest-trunk/?
Flags: in-litmus? → in-litmus+
So, I think there is a slight misunderstanding here. This bug was filed with respect to the old Autocomplete popup, asking to place the title column on the left, and the URL column on the right. With the new popup in Firefox 3, I guess this is not applicable any more, so it should probably be marked WONTFIX. What I think you are thinking, is that this bug refers to the top/bottom order of the title row in the current popup. If that is the case, the litmus test you mention works fine with today's nightly.
