The header contents no longer stay within the proper area. I know that people are working on a scrolling header, so maybe that has something to do with this leaking over.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click + to view headers.
2.
3.
Actual Results:
Contents of header go outside where they belong.
Expected Results:
Contents of header stay inside where they belong.

Additional information.
Just noticed today that it doesn't always do this. If there is an attachment, it doesn't seem "to go out of bounds", but does consume what's left of the bottom of the window. I'm not sure if this is due to the attachment or if it is due to the html nature of the particular emails I looked at.

What was the reason to not fix this for 2.0?
I confirm this happens with version
thunderbird-3.0a1.en-US.linux-i686.tar.bz2 06-Feb-2007 04:21
that is, also for Linux version.
For Thunderbird version 1.5.0.9 (20060911) the header text do not
leak out of its box, but still has the problem of opening a header box
too big (with 'view header all' option activated). Sometines, depending
on the email header, it may not leave enough space to see the body
of the message. I guess this would be solved once a scrolling bar for
the header box would be added.
It's not dramatic, of course, but somewhat annoying.

I can confirm that this occurs in 2.0.0.0 (20070326)

I too confirm this on Windows XP SP2, Thunderbird 2.0.0.0
I have the Enigmail extension installed. Would love to see the scrollable headers.

I just noticed recently that when you slide the divider up and down, it will move the header text with it right into and through the bottom bar. It seems like there is something simple missing telling it to stop at that point. This would be a great thing to have cleaned up for the next fix to the 2.0 branch.

Confirmed on TB 2.0.0.0 (20070326) win32.
There is an extension that wants to go around bug #223132 (i haven't installed it yet), but from the screenshots, that only introduces a vertical scrollbar, while from the attachements I'm adding one can see a horizontal scroll is needed as well.
All headers display breaks also the single message window, if window size is not large enough (see attachements).

If mscott minused it for the current version then it's not going to make a "security and regression-fix only" branch release. 1.8.0.13 minus.
