Here is the description of this problem : I have a Newsgroup account 'news.mozilla.org' . This account is configured to compose in 'plain text' . when i select a post and click on 'reply' button , 'Rewrap' manu works normally . but when i select 'File>Send later' and goto 'Unsent' folder and select that message > right click > Edit message as new , 'Rewrap' menu grayed out in compose window . But if i , after editing that message , click on close ('X') button and select 'Don't Save' and then again try to edit that unsent mail , found 'Rewrap' menu works normally . But it works only for one time , i.e, if i don't edit that message content ( just 'edit as new' to open compose window and then click on close 'X' button without editing anything ) , Rewrap menu again grayed out Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Set account to compose in 'Plain text' . 2.create a mail or reply to an existing mail, after composing goto File > Send later. 3.goto 'Unsent' folder , select that message , right click on it and 'Edit as new' or Ctrl+E Actual Results: 'Rewrap' menu ( Edit > rewrap ) menu is grayed out Expected Results: 'Rewrap' menu should not be grayed out after getting this problem , try to edit that message again ( Ctrl+E ) , add or modify message content . then click on close ('X')button and select 'Don't Save'. Now try to edit that message again ( Ctrl+E ) and it will be found that 'rewarp' menu will become to normal state ( un-grayed )

this problem doesn't occurs if i compose message in 'HTML' mode ( either by setting that account to compose in 'HTML" or 'Shift+reply' )

I have found that the value of this pref. 'mail.compose.wrap_to_window_width' was 'true' . if i set it to 'false' then it fixes two problems : 1.'Rewrap' menu grayed out when editing an mail at 'Unsent' folder but comes back only for one time if edited message is closed without saving 2.in case of reply , the cursor is positioned on the first line of the original message in the compose window even 'Start My reply below the quote' option is selected.

What exactly do you mean by this? Are you using Edit Message as New on an item in the Unsent folder? While taking this screen shot , cursor was with message text .
