This will be a pretty big deal, so Mozilla PR will be reviewing this. I'll probably get this done first, for that reason. We'll want to mention new features, etc.

I'm putting justdave in the review field, because I'm sure that Mozilla PR wants to review it. (I'm certainly not going to re-write it in press-release format, but if somebody wants to write a separate press release, that sounds fine to me!) This is *mostly* the same as the News version, but has some changes to account for the fact that it's in plain text.

We sent a Bugzilla t-shirt to Rich Gibbs for being the 3000th subscriber to our announcements mailing list (since it came so close to the release and 3000 and 3.0 are nice similar numbers ;) Might be nice to work that in somewhere.

Yeah, sorry about that. I had to get the release out today, because I'd already dated everything, and I had to leave right at that moment, so I had to do the release. We could still update the website, though!
