Details
For Firefox 1.0, we shipped builds using the profiled build stuff (I think using the Tp pageload set for the profiling); if my memory is correct this was around a 5%-10% performance improvement. This stopped for Firefox 1.5 due to bug 292377. We should do this again.

dbaron: not entirely sure what you mean by "profiled build stuff"; is this just turning profiling on and shipping builds with the profiling stubs, or is it more involved (shipping the Tp pageload set?)

It means using a build process where we:
1. do one build with some hooks enabled
2. run that build through performance tests
3. generate a second build using the data from (2) and ship that.
