User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20061201 Firefox/2.0.0.3 (Ubuntu-feisty) Build Identifier: When replying to an email, one would not correct the text of the original email. Thus, any line beginning with ">" should be ignored by the spell checker. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Reply to an email 2.Click "spell check" Actual Results: Tbird checks the spelling of the original email. Expected Results: Tbird would ignore the text of the original email.
That's how it's working now. Quoted text is ignored, at least for me. 2.0/linux
In my 2.0.0.4 built from Mozilla tarball, Tbird spellchecks the replied to email.
trunk windows also spell checks replies. but version 2.0.0.13pre (20080227), on a different machine, also with spell check as you type enabled, does not. xref bug 216235, which states (in 2003) that replied text is not checked. so this is a regression. or some combination of options?
