location bar draws white just after deleting a character.

Oh, wait, was my summary change correct? I assumed you meant the dropdown, but maybe you meant the url bar itself?

chatting with mconnor today, I think one proposed solution / workaround is, when deleting, don't open up the autocomplete results until you start typing. note, after the pending rich list autocomplete change, there might be another solution.

Bug 424673 would make results come back immediately and not have things flash. You can try it out with this build: https://build.mozilla.org/tryserver-builds/2008-04-09_23:10-edward.lee@engineering.uiuc.edu-no.flash/

I can not reproduce this issue on Firefox 48.0a1. I will close this issue as WFM. Please reopen and post detailed steps if you can still reproduce.
