It would be nice to be able to abort a running build or reboot a machine from the buildbot waterfall page. This might depend on the reboot, restart on-demand bug 393411.

Aborting a running build already works on Linux and Mac (the 'Stop Builder' button on the Build page). This feature exists for Windows as well, but Buildbot is unable to kill a running instance of Firefox.

For rebooting slaves, I think the easiest way to do this is to have a builder which all slaves are in that has a single step which runs 'shutdown -r now', or w/e to reboot the slaves.

Stopping builds via the waterfall works with all platforms (as long as appropriate twisted is installed on Windows).
Rebooting from waterfall isn't going to happen. Buildbot 0.7.10 has the ability to disconnect the buildbot slave from the waterfall, after which you can go reboot the machine manually if you care to.
Also, we're adding the ability to periodically reboot slaves in several of the different builders.
