Long urls never fit in any location bar of finite width. That asside, Classic combines the Navigation bar and the Toolbar. If I remove the search button, then the location bar seems to have the same width as in 4.73. This leaves two possibilities: a) Split the toolbars [Everyone else does, why shouldn't we?</sarcasm></invalidhtml>] b) Buy space from the Search button. The search button doesn't need to be visible unless the caret is in the location bar. Once the Search button is relocated according to some marketting bug this could be done. [Actually it probably could be done now] But you'd have to talk to marketting :o

The situation is now *a lot* better compared to the situation when I reported this bug. I'm leaving this open anyway since there still is some extra horizontal space in the toolbar.

The Print button just made the situation worse again. :-(

Is there any point in this bug remaining open? As you can turn off Search and Print, there's no real other way to make it any wider than that. Gerv
