Thunderbird is moving over to toolkit autocomplete (see bug 360648). Lightning (and Sunbird?) should do the same to stay compatible.
The first stage of this will be to move the invites dialog over to the new local address book search. Functionally, this is exactly the same as the one on the old xpfe interfaces.
The patch I'm attaching depends on bug 456256 as that is touching this file as well, and I'm not in that much of a rush to remove this. I'll request reviews later.
