Some people use server-side filters for their folders. I do this because I've been accessing my IMAP account from different computers running different copies of SeaMonkey (2alpha and 1.1.14) with different profiles... and I don't want to deal with roaming profiles right now :-). If there was a checkbox under ``Server Settings''->``Advanced'' to ``Check for New Mail in All Folders'', this would ease use of SeaMonkey. If many of the options found when <right click on folder>->``Properties'' (such as ``Check this Folder for New Messages'' and ``Select this Folder for Offline Use'') could be moved to the ``Subscribe'' dialog, this would be just as useful.

New UI of Tb 3 for auto-sync introduced similar UI for offline use setting of all IMAP folders of all IMAP accounts. > Account Settings/Syncronization&Storage > [ X ] Keep messages for this account on this computer, "Advanced" button. Usabilily is not so well yet, but it's far better than offline use setting via Folder Properties of each IMAP folder. I also think UI like subscription list or UI like "Advanced" of auto-sync will be required for user's convenience. And, as LeoTheHuman(bug opener) and Binki say, enhancement of per account "subscription list" is one of best solutions. Changing to NEW, because I believe the enhancement request is reasonable and gain of users by the enhancement is relatively large.
