There doesn't seem to be any way to do this. It would be ideal to be able to add directly to OSX Address Book, (that would be a feature request), however I think it is a bug that the vcard is cannot be Saved as a vcard (so that Address Book can import it). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Receive email with embedded vcard (e.g. from Outlook on PC) 2.Click on + - choices do not include OSX Address book 3. control-click - options relate to the Message, not to the vCard, in particular no "Save" or "Detach" options for the vCard.
Fixing bug 391057 would (automatically) fix the issue of being able to save the card to the OS X address book. Therefore making this bug into one bug - the fact you can't save the vcard from the email.
Status: UNCONFIRMED → NEW
Component: Address Book → Message Reader UI
Ever confirmed: true
OS: Mac OS X → All
QA Contact: address-book → message-reader
Hardware: x86 → All
Summary: vcards can't be added to Mac OSX Address Book → Can't save vcards to file when attached to a message
Mark - apologies, I meant that it Is this bug, not bug 463404 ("Automatically add outgoing e-mail address" should include OSX System Address Book) that is easier to fix than the generic bug 391057 (" Add ability to write to Mac OS X system Address Book"), Fixing this bug doesn't require any processing of vcards, nor writing to OSX address book, and only requires passing an attachment (which happens to be a vcard) to an application (which is something TB already knows how to do).

Mitra,
Can you still reproduce this?

I'm not sure I could - since I haven't seen a Vcard sent by email in years (the bug is 13 years old).

The address books are pretty much unusable at this point. Between bug# 1720257 which means that only geeks can actually figure out the hack so they can see their OSX address book any more, plus the regression in bug# 1770851 . I've been cutting and pasting addresses for years now :-(

(Lightning <> OSX works pretty well, but only if you are a super-geek and can figure out the hack at https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3414939?answerId=17479458022#17479458022)
