What phenomenon do you mean by "Thunderbird IMAP aborts" in bug summary? Tb crashes? Freezes? Folder named *... doesn't appear at any where? Folder named *... appears in subscription list but doesn't appear at folder pane? Folder named *... appears at folder pane but no mail appears at thread pane? IMAP command error occurs?
There is no problem in creation/accessing of subfolder named "*" and "*abc" under "xxx", using Gmail IMAP, with next build, on MS Win-XP SP 3. > Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.2pre) Gecko/20090721 Shredder/3.0b4pre
WADA-san -- I have no more background, this was sent to me as a facebook message, from a friend who works at microsoft. It might be good to try the same tests you did w/ Shredder, with TB 2.0.0.22, to see if we can just mark it RESO.
David Ascher, "OWA" in bug summary is next? > http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Outlook_Web_Access (In reply to comment #3) > I have no more background, (snip) What can we(developers and volunteers like me in problem isolation) do, without explanation about what is "Thunderbird IMAP aborts", without explanation about what is "the issue" your friend can repro?
Same problem as Bug 507244?
