We are currently load the TIS APIs. http://mxr.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/source/widget/src/cocoa/nsChildView.mm#514 But they are needed for 10.4 support. So, we can use TIS APIs directly now.
this is going to be fixed by the patch of bug 513955.
