assigning to john for prioritization. I also want to note that both our existing production masters are fairly heavily loaded these days and I have a small concern about more load pushing them over the edge. If/when we add this branch we should consider creating a 3rd production master.

Yes, it probably is, but I hope I don't have to wait months for it if that's the case. I'm looking at having ready code (as in completed) in 11 weeks.

Work will start there in 2 weeks when lsblakk wraps up an unrelated TryServer project. It will be just as quick to do this using the disposable branches work in bug#551528, so closing as DUP.
