We should have checks that verify that nightly builds are produced (i.e. look on ftp.m.o)
We should also check that AUS offers nightly updates every day

There is a MoCo and a MoMo nagios. I am talking about the MoMo one.

Yes, it certainly would be possible. Could even re-use our existing SSL certs. Only issue before giving say, you, access is setting up the permission system right so you can get to see just the relevant systems. (Smells like a separate bug for that)

We need to get MoCo to give us that script so we can run it ourselves.

MoCo's also waiting for an answer to bug 621392 comment 4 about whether we want them to continue watching for something other than 3.0.

We now monitor for nightly builds. Still have to check that AUS offers nightly updates every day.

This is something that I believe we used to have but I don't know if Firefox still does this or not.
If it is something that's still used, please make sure that Thunderbird is added to the list of checks. If not, please close appropriately. Thanks.

We didn't have nagios checks for updates IIRC. What we have/had is an age check for the nightly Firefox build to make sure we always create a new nightly within 28 hours of the previous one.

I'm WONTFIX'ing this because it's been nearly 5 years and barely come up as a want. We get notified by both people and some QE automation if things are broken, and we've never figured out a robust way to write this check.
