Currently we are not running reftests with OpenGL on Fedora slaves and to fix that it requires two things: * fix bug 593874 to be able to run them correctly (it requires screen resolution changes to all Fedora slaves) * re-enable them on the releng side which is not that difficult The day we will enable it we will only enable it for mozilla-central (or another specified project branch) until it is not perma-orange.
I don't know if hardware acceleration is enabled on Linux or not but I would like us to use the try server for whenever you guys want to do so. Right now we assume that enabling it must have perma-oranges. For those reasons and the following one I would like to close this bug until someone can show me that there are no perma-oranges on a tryserver run (and even at that point why would we not set hw acceleration ON by default on linux): * there is not enough capacity on the Linux pool to add an extra test suite * it currently has perma-oranges * there is a way to find out what the oranges are and get it to production without adding a new test suite If it makes sense I will close this bug. Questions?

Hardware acceleration can be tested on Fedora on the try server without the need to add a new test suite enabling it by default. Since no one added any comment and there is a way to test this I will close this as WORKSFORME.

Sorry to be so late commenting on this. Even once the testsuite is green with acceleration enabled and hardware acceleration is enabled by default we will still need a separate test run for this. We are only going to be whitelisting a very small number of drivers on nvidia hardware, so we can't afford to stop testing without acceleration enabled.
With the current pool capacity I am trying to discourage adding more test suites unless extremely necessary. We are looking into adding a new pool of slaves. Once you are looking into enabling it by default and to add this non-accelerated test suite please file a new bug. I hope this makes sense.
