Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.2.9) Gecko/20100915 Thunderbird/3.1.4
I have three mail accounts. Often I only want to log in to my main account. If I press "Cancel" for the accounts I don't want to log into, Thunderbird should not keep asking me to log in.
After invoking Thunderbird and canceling the login window for the accounts I don't wish to be logged into, Thunderbird should stop asking for login UNLESS I explicitly click on that account.
In other words, by clicking "Cancel" on the login window, I've explicitly made the statement, "I don't wish to login to this (these) accounts, so shut up, please"
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.The detailed description is sufficient
2.
3.
Actual Results:
I get quite annoyed.
Expected Results:
General annoyance and wishing for visual silence on this matter
Yes, this request is an enhancement, but I think it would be a behavior that would be appreciated by many users.

Thank you.
And could somebody also considering fixing the default font bug that's been around since time 0: When I select a default font, stay there and don't keep changing back to variable width. Please (I really like monospace for many emails.

No. I'm not using a master password. The desired behavior is once I hit cancel on an email account (because I don't want to log in), I don't want to be asked again unless I explicitly click on that account (in the first (i.e. left-hand) tab.

Ok I only have one account where the password is asked and If I cleck cancel I'm not bothered by another dialog asking.
Can you try with Thunderbird started in safe-mode ?(http://support.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode)

OK. Here's how to reproduce the problem.
1. Quit Thunderbird
2. Invoke Thunderbird
3. Log into only one of your accounts (I have three); i.e, click the cancel
button when asked to login to the other acocunts.
4. Click the "x" (red button) in the upper left corner to close the Thunderbird
window.
5. Clock the Thunderbird icon on the launch pad to reopen the main window.
Thunderbird will insist you try and login to the un-logged into accounts--
annoying. It will also exhibit this behavior if your machine was awakened
from sleep.
