From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.0; Windows NT; DigExt)
BuildID: Netscape 6 (Mozilla/5.0 20001108)
I inserted a table and typed some text in the first cell and observed some
abnormality as described below.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a new composer window.
2. Insert a table. (Perform the following steps).
3. Click on Table button on the composition toolbar.
4. It opens Insert Table dialog.
5. Enter 4 in rows and 5 in columns and 400 in Height textboxes respectively.
6. Click on OK button.
7. It inserts a 4x5 Table.
8. Type some text (in first cell) and press enter.
9. Again type some text and press enter key.
Actual Results: Cell border was changed. (Its looking like 6 cells in the
first row, eventhough they are only 5).
Expected Results: It should maintain uniform border layout for all the cells.

Charley, please take a look at the screen grabs -- and either keep this one or
reassign to the appropriate person

This is a layout cell border redraw problem.
It may be moot, as we are removing support for (HTML) table height.
We should see if the problem still exists if CSS is used for table height instead
of HTML "height" attribute.

actually, I wouldn't say we are removing support for it; we're just making it
harder for users to set this. (Correct me if I'm wrong, but in theory couldn't a
user add the height to a table with the advanced edit dialog or with another tool
(such as Composer 4.x)?)
I would guess this is a valid layout bug (or possibly a bug between layout and
editor).

For me (in 2000120518 on Linux) it happens only if I type spaces only (doesn't
happen with other characters) - then it happens after third or fourth space
typed. Also, after first space typed caret chages strangely - it suddently
becomes half the height and then restores it's shape.

Marking invalid, since composer no longer let's you specify a table height.
