a few options exist: 1) Just change the options->General->Startup and select Show my windows and tabs from last time, it will always restore your session. 2) If you select show my home page in Options->General->Startup, choose default homepage, you will get a Restore Previous Session button on the about:home default homepage URL 3) If you choose another home page, I think you will also see the option in the History Menu to choose Restore Previous Session as well
hi, to 1. yes i figured that one out, but sometimes i dont want to restore the session. and in ff 3 i just could close firefox and at the question i denie saving the tabs and i have a fresh browser window with just the standard homepage. i didnt found the option in the history menu...would love to have it again like in ff3. maybe we should do a survey and ask other ff users...

Turn on ask on close warning in options->Tabs and go to about:config in the URL bar and modify preferences: That should change browser.warnOnQuit = True You can also change: browser.showQuitWarning = True to ask if you want to save tabs
